What a beautiful tribute and record of your love for Simba! I learned so much from my grief and loss of my heart dog, Yoshi. It's such a painful experience and people who haven't lost a pet cannot understand the depth of feeling. Only you and Jovanni know Simba and love him as your family. This is a reminder for me to allow strangers to be generous. I struggle with being open or accepting help. I'm sure there have been people who have extended an offer but I felt too much shame around needing support. I can bring more focus and intention on noticing the kindness of strangers.

We had a huge party for her the day before she departed us, which including banners, paw print painting and a Big Mac. It was bittersweet but such a beautiful way to honour her xx
So much love to you in this time. We had a very close call with our dog this year, which brought to light both how short the years are AND how much kindness from people you've only barely or never met can mean. Hope there's space to hold yourself and your household gently in the coming days.

The generosity of strangers and acquaintances is why I still have hope in this world. As Henah knows, we recently set up a GoFundMe for IVF that isn’t covered by our insurance, and the amount of help we’ve received is truly staggering. The world can be a beautiful place.
