Awesome ideas! A core travel memory for me was hiking the last leg of the Inca Trail with my son, who was graduating high school that same month, and seeing the sun peek through the sun gate, and Machu Picchu below.

I traveled to Cherokee North Carolina and had a fantastic week working alongside people in need. I was assigned to a family living in a mobile home that had been donated and moved to a potato field but it was on a slant. We had a wonderful week, straightening it out, adding on a bedroom for the young girls, and learning all about the sovereign people. So much to learn about their customs and traditions.

This is amazing; I hope their family is hanging in there post-Helene. And thank you for doing such important work alongside them!

Great piece! Can you recommend a Spanish language program or the school in Medellin? Thank you!

A core travel memory for me was visiting New York a couple of years ago. It was my third trip to the city, but I’d never been in the autumn. Something I’d craved for so long. I’m a ‘retired’ figure skater and I’d always dreamt of skating on as many rinks as I could in NY. I finally got to skate at the Wollman rink in Central Park on a quiet, early morning session. The air was crisp with a slight fog, but the sun was shining and I honestly couldn’t have felt happier in that moment.

:') I just spent the weekend in NYC back home and I was reminded of how much I loved it in the fall, too. It's truly an incredible feeling. (Also, please teach me how to ice skate, LOL.)

NYC in the fall is truly magical. I really hope I can visit again soon.

Lol, of course! If only I wasn't an entire ocean away!
