omg PLEASE write a post on travel insurance! my mom and i leave for our trip in less than two weeks and it reminds me of filling out tax forms: i feel like every time is the first time lol. im always like who did i use last time? what coverage do i need? etc. also thank you for this post because im flying SAS to warsaw and in the event of a delay or cancellation, im using this!
Yes, happy to!! We can try to do that in the next few weeks (we already have a guest contributor for next week, yeeee) — but if you wanna DM me, I can help!! xx
I'm STILL catching up on my reading (50 kajillion years later) and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED "Wicked Little Letters." I laughed SO HARD and was completely shocked about who was writing them.
YASSSS! But how could you sequel that? More Wicked Little Letters? I dunno if that would work. Unless she ended up in another town writing letters to new neighbors. LOL
Curious more on how to go about compensation through this EU rule - is it a form through the specific airline or a separate entity? Wasn’t aware of this rule and had a flight cancellation in late April that caused serious issues and curious whether I’d be outside the window for compensation
I believe it depends on the reason for the compensation, but I say it's worth the shot! The form was through the airline once we went to the "Manage Our Booking" page, but you should reach out to the airline and ask if it's possible/within the timeframe. You could also print and complete the Air Passenger Rights EU Complaint Form and submit it to the airline directly!
okay following up that this worked!!! I filed a claim for compensation for a cancelled british airways flight in april and got email this morning that I’ll receive compensation under UK261 (uk version of EU261)! 💸💸💸💸
I'm excited to have found your new Substack on travel! We're empty nesters ready to travel and just got home from Europe. I look forward to more tips and insights. (Btw, I found you through your lovely website The Good Grade. https://www.thegoodtrade.com/ Also a pleasure to discover!) @kellyssamuels
Tablet is great for finding boutique hotels, so is Smith Hotels. Also, Monocle has city guides with great hotel recommendations!
OOH, thank you Eva! Adding Monocle to the list, too.
Phew, I thought I was going to scroll right into a paywall in the middle there. Thank you for being generous and sharing this! Subscribed
No payroll here! Thank you for being here, Sutee. :)
lol paywall**
So thoughtful of you to include me! In flight menu is the best little feature!!
